We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team at RTL NEDERLAND BV in Hilversum, Netherlands.

About Us:

RTL started in 1989 as the first commercial broadcaster in the Netherlands. Our mission has not changed since then: we want to reach and inspire everyone in the Netherlands with essential stories that touch the heart and mind.

We have five television channels (RTL 4, RTL 5, RTL 7, RTL 8 and RTL Z), streaming platform Videoland, three digital theme channels (RTL Lounge, RTL Crime, RTL Telekids), sales organization Ad Alliance and the platforms and RTL Weer / Buienradar. RTL Nieuws, Editie NL and RTL Z bring you 24/7 the latest news, their own journalistic research and interpretation via the broadcasts, website, app and socials.

About the Team:

We are a team of 7 data scientists and a data science manager looking to have one more colleague. Our tech stack is focused on Python (with libraries Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch) and we are mostly on Azure. We track our code with git, package our work in Docker, deploy using Argo CD, schedule with Airflow, and track experiments with MLflow on Databricks.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in AI, data science, statistics, or a related field.
  • A curious, proactive and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively.
  • The ability to build good and productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Strong language skills in English and Python.
  • Located in the Netherlands and eligible for work in the Netherlands.
  • You have at least 2 years of work experience.

What We Offer:
