About the Team
The finance division at Thales Nederland comprises approximately 50 professionals organized into two distinct competence centers:
The Shared Services Accounting, Reporting & Controlling team is tasked with managing the accounting functions for Thales Nederland B.V. As a Tax Compliance Analyst, you will be an integral part of this team, providing essential support on tax-related issues primarily for Thales Nederland B.V. and potentially for other Thales entities within the Netherlands.
We are seeking a Tax Compliance Analyst to enhance our dynamic Accounting Team.
Your Future Responsibilities
As a vital contributor to our team, you will address all tax-related matters within Thales Nederland B.V. and possibly for other Thales entities in the Netherlands. Your responsibilities will include ensuring compliance with tax regulations, tracking tax deadlines, liaising with stakeholders (including the Dutch Tax Authority and other governmental bodies), offering insightful financial advice, identifying potential risks and opportunities, and actively engaging in finance-related initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing tax assessments and ensuring timely payments for various taxes (e.g., WBSO, income tax, VAT); Coordinating tax audits and overseeing tax rulings; Evaluating, monitoring, and implementing tax policies and performance standards; Assisting with internal and external inquiries regarding tax matters; Conducting internal control activities related to tax; Upholding financial integrity and compliance with processes (tax compliance); Supporting internal improvement initiatives related to tax; Collaborating effectively across various organizational levels.Ideal Candidate Profile
You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Taxation, complemented by relevant professional experience in tax, ideally within an international context. You have a strong affinity for tax and accounting processes, alongside a solid understanding of Dutch Tax Law and proficiency in MS Office. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about finance and thrives in a collaborative environment. Your ability to comprehend complex processes is essential. Strong organizational, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills are crucial for success in this role. You are naturally inquisitive and can evolve into a professional partner on all tax-related matters within the Thales NL organization. Proficient communication skills in Dutch and English are required, with French being a plus.
You have the capability to grasp intricate issues and maintain a holistic perspective. Familiarity with ERP systems is advantageous. We are committed to supporting your professional development as you grow into a more experienced Tax Compliance Analyst.
