About the Role:
The 2nd Captain is a key member of our Rivertech team, responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. This role requires a strong understanding of nautical rules and regulations, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all nautical-technical concerns, including navigation, maintenance, and compliance with regulations.
- Develop and build high-performing teams to achieve operational excellence.
- Ensure the vessel's and equipment's effective and safe operation, as well as compliance with regulations.
- Instruct new crew members in safety procedures and provide ongoing training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of nautical rules and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to make decisive decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with crew and passengers.
- Quick response to emergencies and ability to stay calm under pressure.
