About the Internship

The Subsea Cables Internship at Boskalis offers a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the field of engineering. As an intern, you will be part of our preparation team, working on the preparation and execution of innovative subsea cable projects.

Responsibilities

  • Drafting specifications and procedures for subsea cable projects within the set framework and customer and contractual requirements.
  • Designing and developing innovative technical solutions to provide an optimal solution to the customer and mitigate risks to an as low as possible level.
  • Defining scope, providing calculations, and checking engineering work executed by other departments or subcontractors.
  • Assisting and advising during the execution of tenders and live projects, in some cases, on location or onboard one of our vessels.
  • Identifying lessons learned and assisting with the implementation of related follow-up actions.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Dutch educational institute with a background in Civil engineering, Marine engineering, Offshore Engineering, or Mechanical engineering.
  • Good communication skills and a good knowledge of the English language, both written and verbally.
  • Motivated and eager to learn.
  • Team player, pro-active, and hands-on mentality.
