Group Financial Controller

EDCO is a dynamic and internationally operating trade organization with a strong presence in the market. With a diverse range of over 24,000 products, we supply to various large and well-known DIY stores, garden centers, retail chains, and department stores.
Job DescriptionAs Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the financial management of our global group. Your responsibilities will include:
- Consolidating the financial data of our 54 countries of operation
- Coordinating the monthly closing process
- Preparing the annual accounts and audit
- Optimizing financial processes to accelerate the monthly closing process
- Co-responsible for tax returns and advising on various tax issues
- Preparing management and ad hoc reports
- Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
- Participating in various projects, such as implementing a new ERP package and consolidation tool
You will work closely with our small and close-knit team to investigate and tackle complex financial issues. Your strong communication skills and experience with consolidation tasks will be valuable assets in this role.
RequirementsTo be successful in this position, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in a financial field (Business Economics, Accountancy, etc.)
- 3+ years of relevant experience as a financial controller, (assistant) auditor, or a similar position
- Experience with complex consolidation tasks
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, commercially-driven environment
- Strong communication skills
- Fluent in English
