Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Coordinator to join our team at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons.

About the Role

The successful candidate will serve as a focal point for the Inspectorate Mission Plan (IMP) implementation and monitoring, providing inspection situation briefings to management and overseeing the activities of inspectors and inspection assistants during missions.

Main Responsibilities

This role involves:

  • Conducting mid- and short-term chemical weapons and industry inspection planning;
  • Coordinating chemical weapons and industry inspections annually, as well as non-routine mission planning, including contingency planning;
  • Overseeing the implementation of short-term chemical weapons and chemical industry inspection plans;
  • Reviewing progress, anticipating problems, and referring issues to relevant agencies within the Secretariat;
  • Collating operational lessons learned and developing remedial measures to avoid re-occurrence of problems.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • An advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in business administration, engineering, or a related field;
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in planning and movement of personnel and sensitive equipment by various transportation alternatives;
  • Experience working in an environment handling classified information;
  • A thorough understanding of overall planning and operational/logistical support requirements associated with the movement of personnel and equipment by air, rail, and road.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is around $120,000 USD, depending on location and experience.
