About the Role

Van Hay is seeking a highly skilled Senior Compliance Officer to join our Business Compliance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organization's compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert compliance advice and guidance to the business, identifying and mitigating compliance risks and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Monitor and report on compliance risks and issues, providing recommendations for remedial action.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to stay informed on regulatory developments.
  • Provide training and support to the business on compliance matters, ensuring awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in business meetings and committees to ensure compliance is integrated into business decision-making.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Business, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a compliance-related role, with a minimum of 3 years in a corporate banking business or commercial role.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Wft, MiFID II, MAD/MAR, Wwft, GDPR, Sustainable Finance Regulations, and EBA guidelines.
  • Experience in working with operational risk management processes and guiding the business in the application of these to effectively manage compliance risks.
  • Good understanding of transaction banking and corporate lending products, with knowledge of specialized lending products such as acquisition finance, project finance, and trade finance.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English.
  • Ability to identify and clearly explain regulatory compliance risks.

  • Gross monthly salary based on experience, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
  • Five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase additional vacation time.
