The estimated annual salary for this position is €65,841 - €92,180, with additional benefits including an 8.33% end-of-year bonus, 8.2% holiday bonus, and 3.67% duty-free days bonus.

Job Description

As an Economic Specialist, you will assist the Front Office, Political-Economic Counselor, Economic Chief, and economic officers in policy advocacy on behalf of Mission goals across a broad range of economic issues.

You will track all economic issues in the Netherlands, draft reports, provide expert research, reporting, advice, and related services on Dutch macroeconomic trends, domestic, regional, and international economic policy, investment screening, sanctions, economic security, and other environment, science, and health issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • A university degree in a relevant major field of study, such as history, business/economics, science, government, and/or journalism or local equivalent.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in program management, research and analysis, planning and strategy related to government, business, ICT, public policy, and/or law with proven skill in written presentation of analysis and advocacy in the areas of economic, business, and policy issues.
  • Fluent English and Dutch (speaking/reading/writing).
