About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Technician to join our team at the Division of Molecular Toxicology. As a key member of our laboratory, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily management of our cell culture laboratories.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), including differentiation to specific tissue targets;
- Oversee the management of cell culture consumables, resources, and plasticware, including ordering and inventory control;
- Plan and execute experimental procedures, including specific experimental tasks and laboratory equipment maintenance;
- Provide instruction and support to PhD and MSc students in their experimental work;
- Collaborate with teaching staff in MSc and BSc supervision and practical courses.
Requirements
- A qualification in laboratory skills, such as Hoger Laboratorium Onderwijs or equivalent;
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, preferably with iPSC;
- Experience with molecular and biochemical techniques, including immunostaining, Western Blotting, (q)PCR, high content imaging, and LC-MS;
- Strong communication, organizational, and social skills;
- High competence in either English or Dutch, with both languages preferred;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Strong motivation for scientific research;
- Teaching experience is an advantage.

- A salary of minimum € 3,000.00 (Scale 8) and maximum € 4,000.00 (Scale 8) gross per month, on a full-time basis;
