Job Summary

Rivertech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth passage of our ships from point A to point B.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all vessel operations, including navigation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks, including administrative duties.
  • Develop and build strong teams.
  • Securely moor the ship and navigate through narrow spaces, such as locks, bridges, and rivers.
  • Take responsibility for the effective and safe operation of the vessel and its equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Train new crew members in safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with business guidelines.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of nautical rules and regulations is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of navigational procedures is required.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
  • Interpersonal interactions with the crew and passengers are excellent.
  • Rapid response to unexpected emergencies.
  • Conscious presence.
  • Ability to make powerful decisions.
  • In times of crisis, you must have a strong will and the ability to motivate yourself.
