Job Summary

Rivertech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced First Captain to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessels. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth passage of our ships from point A to point B.

Responsibilities

As a First Captain, you will be entrusted with the complete operation of the vessel. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient passage from point A to point B. You will be a skilled navigator, commanding the ship's voyage with precision.

You will lead your crew, overseeing their performance and ensuring smooth operations throughout the journey. Effective communication, quick decision-making, and seamless navigation are essential skills for a First Captain, ensuring that every voyage is executed flawlessly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all vessel operations, including navigation, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Efficiently manage multiple tasks, including administrative duties.
  • Develop and build strong teams.
  • Securely moor the ship and navigate through narrow spaces, such as locks, bridges, and rivers.
  • Take responsibility for the effective and safe operation of the vessel and its equipment, ensuring adherence to regulations.
  • Train new crew members in safety procedures.
  • Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with business guidelines.

Requirements

This job combines operational and policy-related responsibilities. Flexibility, stress resistance, professional competence, and social skills are all required for this job. 1st Captains must be competent in communication, administration, and problem-solving. They must be able to adapt to changing situations and respond quickly in an emergency.
