Job Title: Maritime Officer General Cargo

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maritime Officer to join our team at Oceanwide. As a Maritime Officer General Cargo, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our General Cargo vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Master in navigation and ship management, including safety and crew management.
  • Coordinate loading and unloading operations, maintain safety procedures, and ensure smooth daily operations on board.
  • Supervise and train the deck crew to ensure safety and skills.
  • Implement and enforce international and local maritime laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to voyage planning, monitoring weather forecasts, and managing ship documents.
  • Act as a liaison between Master and crew for optimal communication.

Requirements:

  • STCW certificates, including a valid COC as a Maritime Officer.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Maritime Officer at sea.
  • Extensive knowledge of navigation, leadership, and maritime regulations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
  • A team player who can work proactively and solution-oriented under pressure.
