Job Summary

The Maintenance Department at SABIC is responsible for ensuring the integrity of our plants through specification, scheduling, and execution of activities. As a Static Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the preventive legal inspections of mechanical equipment, focusing on improving cost, reliability, and availability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality specifications and scopes for legal 'static' inspections to maintenance managers and senior planners.
  • Lead preventive and predictive maintenance efforts for static equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with technical colleagues to define necessary replacement and improvement projects.
  • Manage small modifications and act as project responsible in the Management of Change process.
  • Participate in adequate information exchange and analysis of legal 'static' inspection work with other ME static engineers.
  • Contribute to scoping team meetings and ensure correct and timely Turn Around 'preventive legal static' scope for specific plants.
  • Evaluate executed preventive legal static maintenance work to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage 'static' materials within defined areas.
  • Participate in hazard reviews and root cause analysis as applicable.
Requirements
  • Mechanical MBO+/HBO or equivalent.
  • Several years of relevant static experience in the chemical industry, preferably in a BRZO environment.
  • Strong knowledge of static equipment, failure mechanisms, and analytical skills.
  • Quality and safety awareness.
  • SAP (PM) knowledge.
  • Dutch language proficiency.
