Key Responsibilities:- Ensure good working practices and housekeeping are maintained, and take ownership of personal safety and the safety of others within the working environment.
- Oversee and manage customer service budget, ensuring economic efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service and customs team operations, focusing on operational efficiency.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the overall strategy, including customer satisfaction and logistics strategy.
- Formulate and implement yearly planning and budgeting for the Customer Service department, monitoring actual performance against budget.
- Develop and ensure realization of the customer satisfaction and logistics strategy of the terminal, in line with the company strategy and budget.
- Monitor and control substances, ensuring components handled are in line with pre-cleared materials, and initiate new material clearance processes if necessary.
- Ensure customers understand HSEQ requirements and flag potential conflicts on the ship/shore interface.
- Handle day-to-day customs declarations and activities, ensuring compliance with Customs permit requirements.
- Expediently handle complaints, demurrages, and claims, minimizing losses and harmful effects to the company's reputation.
- Organize, train, develop, and manage the Logistics/CS department, meeting quantitative and qualitative needs.
- Develop and maintain professional know-how on logistics and CS matters, making it available to managers and other professionals in the network.
Key relationships include the General Manager, Operations Manager, other managers and key players at the Terminal, Supply teams, Procurement team, and relevant global heads of functions. Direct reports include Customer Service Representatives X 3, with a total team size of 4.
