About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Risk Consultant to join our Value Proposition Team at ABN AMRO. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving impactful changes in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into actionable improvement proposals.
  • Assess the impact of changes, prepare implementation solutions, and be closely involved in the execution.
  • Collaborate with Client Units, Credit Risk, Finance and regulatory experts in aligning your advice.
  • Lead implementations for IRB model implementation, Basel Chain, IFRS9 Chain, Stress Testing and the associated calculators (models) for these areas, as well as other Central Risk Management processes.
  • Drive strategic initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance and enable business value creation.
  • Balance stakeholder interests and practical delivery.
Working Environment

The Value Proposition Team is part of the Financial Risk Grid (200+ FTE). The grid supports a wide array of processes for Finance and Risk, mainly from a system and data perspective. Within the grid, the Value Delivery blocks support system management, while the Value Proposition team deals with change.

Your Profile
  • Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in credit risk, modelling, and financial institutions.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance, Basel regulations, and IFRS.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proactive, assertive, and results-driven team player.
  • Ability to work independently and lead junior team members.
  • Experience in quantitative analysis and financial risk processes.
We Offer


• The gross monthly salary displayed above is based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.

• The Benefit Budget is 11% of your salary. The Benefit Budget allows you to acquire additional employment benefits. If you make no purchases or reservations in the Benefit Shop in a given month, you are paid one twelfth of your Benefit Budget that month.

• Five weeks of vacation per year. You have the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
