About the Role

Avantium is seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing technical assistance to end-users, ensuring smooth operations within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Requests: Handle client requests and inquiries via the service desk ticketing system, email, or phone calls.
  • Troubleshooting: Conduct basic troubleshooting to determine the degree of support required.
  • Ticket Escalation: Escalate tickets for Level-2 support when necessary.
  • Follow Ups: Identify and follow-up on stuck or stale tickets and issues which require attention or responses from end-users or Level-2 support.
  • Problem Solving: Address problems such as login issues and hardware or system confirmation.
  • User Training: Assist users in understanding and using IT provided systems and applications effectively.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Assisting new users with their new IT equipment and getting them comfortable using IT systems as well as ensuring that departing users return their equipment in good time.
  • Hardware Provisioning: Deployment of laptops, mobile phones, headsets and other IT end-user equipment.
  • Inventory Administration: Cataloguing and maintaining an IT endpoint asset inventory.

Requirements

  • Education: Minimum MBO level 3 or equivalent qualification in an IT related field.
  • Skills: A keen ability and willingness to learn and proactively solve problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Dutch is beneficial. A customer-centric approach with the ability to provide friendly assistance. Ability to document issues accurately and follow established procedures. Prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Basic knowledge of computer hardware. Clear and concise communication with end-users. Familiarity with the following is highly beneficial: Windows 11, MS Office, MS Teams, OneDrive & SharePoint, Basic IPv4 networking, DNS, Active Directory.
  • Experience: Any relevant internships or part-time roles are beneficial.
