Mechanical Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager Engineering Mechanical to join our team at Damen Workboats.
About the RoleAs a Project Manager Engineering Mechanical, you will be responsible for managing the engineering process and output within your discipline. You will lead an engineering team and engineering partners, ensuring the integration of purchased systems and equipment, and maintaining frequent contact with co-makers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage an engineering team with around five engineers/lead engineers for the mechanical disciplines and support staff in 4 phases: design check, basic engineering, detailed engineering, and production support.
- Manage Budget, Planning, Quality, and Risks with regard to the engineering of the vessel.
- Contact with the client or their representatives and manage outsourcing of engineering work, ensuring necessary approvals are attained.
- Manage the integration of purchased systems, equipment, and interfacing with other disciplines, including requests for quotations and the vendor data process.
- Ensure a good working environment and team spirit.
- A Master or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in managing engineering projects in the maritime sector.
- Experience with software packages such as AutoCAD and Nupas-Cadmatic.
- English is a must, Dutch is a plus.
