Food and Beverage Waiter Job Description

Hilton Amsterdam is a 5-star hotel with a rich history and a unique location. We are looking for a Food and Beverage Waiter to join our team and provide exceptional service to our guests.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding guest service with a focus on exceeding expectations
  • Work with a sales-oriented attitude to promote in-house sales
  • Anticipate guests' needs and ensure a consistent and convincing standard of service
  • Guarantee a cost-conscious manner of working and maintain all service standards and Hilton policies
  • Active promotion of in-house sales by optimal knowledge of all services and outlets
  • Usage of cash system, booking, and posting of all transactions
  • Full knowledge of regular menu, promotional menus, wine lists, and any other promotion in place
  • Knowledge of last trend in drinks and preparation techniques
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations, and all health and safety legislations

Requirements:

  • Commitment to delivering high levels of guest service
  • Act with integrity and honesty to support the culture, values, and mission of Hilton
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch speaking skills preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a waiter role
  • Good knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wines
  • Availability for early and late shifts during the week and weekend
