Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specification Expert to join our team. As a key member of our team, your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors based on customer and design requirements.

• Conducting thorough technical evaluations of quotations from suppliers in close collaboration with the purchasing department.

• Ensuring full compliance with all applicable requirements imposed by customers and statutory bodies.

• Engaging in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing suppliers of the same product and system, providing a solid foundation for commercial negotiations.

• Acquiring and reviewing supplier engineering information and documentation, including mechanical drawings, schematics, calculations, electrical diagrams, etc.

• Integrating delivered components and systems into ship design in close collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, statutory bodies, and owners.

• Providing input and updates for the engineering database, including purchase orders, parts, metadata, and documentation.

• Performing required technical calculations to validate designs.

• Composing technical and functional specification documents for System Description Statements, HAT and SAT procedures.

• Verifying the technical performance of products and systems, including inspections at supplier premises and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT's).

• Offering technical support for commissioning activities.

• Maintaining excellent working relationships with technical representatives of suppliers and subcontractors.

• Participating in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required quality.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

• A Bachelor or Master's degree related to the engineering discipline or proven work experience.

• At least three years of experience in mechanical or marine engineering and working with statutory bodies.

• Experience with and knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably in ships, offshore, or industrial installations.

• Ability to work with and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors.

• Good command of both written and verbal English language skills.

• Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.

• Permanent EU citizenship and passport.
