Global Technology Lead - Drying and Formulation

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Technology Lead to join our team at DSM-Firmenich. As a key member of our Global Technology group, you will be responsible for driving technology development and innovation across our biotechnology applications, with a focus on drying and formulation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead technology development and implementation across downstream processing technologies, including spray drying, freeze drying, and granulation.
  • Responsible for technology scouting and pilot assessments to ensure DSM-Firmenich stays at the forefront of industry developments.
  • Ensure end-to-end leadership to evaluate business attractiveness and rally stakeholder networks to obtain approval.
  • Own and drive global standardization and best practices across the organization.
  • Provide URS for new line installations and actively participate in Capex projects.
  • Fuel continuous improvement of processes and technologies in the plants in terms of efficiency, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Lead technology know-how management across the organization and maintain relevant communities of practice.

Requirements:
  • Masters in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Food Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including technology scale-ups.
  • Proven experience in technology development and implementation.
  • Experience in shopfloor practices, process safety, and business finance.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; leadership skills with ability to build relationships in cross-functional and remote setups.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
