About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechatronics Architect to join our Development & Engineering department in Eindhoven. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for translating customer requirements into suitable solutions, working closely with our Business Developers and Account Managers to understand customer problems and assess how NTS can solve them.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to project discussions from the outset, working with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their functional requirements.
  • Develop and discuss possible solutions with the project team, presenting them to customers and ensuring that the technical side of the project is well-managed.
  • Set requirements and implement new advanced system architectures, high-level mechatronics designs, and execute best-in-class solutions, working closely with the project team to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Be responsible for the technological side of the project, ensuring that it meets the customer's needs and is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Work closely with our manufacturing sites to design, create prototypes, and execute serial production, ensuring that the final product meets the customer's requirements.
  • Represent NTS at conferences, fairs, and presentations, staying up-to-date on the latest developments in mechatronics and related fields.
  • Contribute to the development of the NTS technology roadmap and competence development, working closely with fellow system architects to define the roadmap and lead competence teams to drive knowledge growth within the company.
  • Coach and lead a group of professionals in and out of projects, providing guidance and support to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
Requirements
  • Master/PhD degree in Engineering (Mechatronics, Physics, or similar)
  • More than ten years of solid background in setting up, maintaining, and optimizing functional architecture of mechatronics system design in a multidisciplinary context
  • Expert in assessment and mitigation of technical risks using dynamics analysis or creating proof of principle prototypes and designing and performing verification experiments and qualifications
  • Experience with predictive modeling, FEM analysis, and multi-physics simulations is a must
  • Experience with vacuum applications, applied optics, opto-electronics, or laser technology is an advantage
  • Interested in and up-to-date with recent mechatronics product, actuators, and sensor technologies and process level technologies
  • Well-developed communication and social skills with a pragmatic attitude, able to convey complex topics in an understandable, pleasant, and convincing fashion
  • Open-minded, customer-oriented, proactive, and determined
  • Showing leadership skills and strong stakeholder management
  • Proficient in English language
