Damen Shipyards is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineering intern to join our team in Nijkerk. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects related to the design and development of dredging equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop dredging equipment and their mechanical components
- Conduct literature studies and run analytical models of physical processes
- Negotiate with suppliers of components
- Discuss designs with other departments
- Coordinate and execute tests at our production facilities
- Report and demonstrate results to stakeholders
- Take responsibility for project management
- Bachelor or secondary education student in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Maritime Engineering, Civil Engineering, Dredging Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, Material Physics, or Energy Technology
- Autonomous, practical mindset, and result-driven
- Good communication skills
- Good command of Dutch and English
- A monthly allowance for the duration of the assignment
- Flexible working hours
- Proper mentoring at HBO or academic level
