Our team is responsible for designing, building, maintaining, and operating over 25,000 kilometres of high-voltage electricity grid in the Netherlands and large parts of Germany.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Grid Connection Manager to lead our Large Projects Offshore unit. As a key contributor to the energy transition, this role plays a critical part in developing the offshore grid, DC interconnectors, and Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

In this challenging and dynamic position, you will be responsible for managing a talented team of technical experts, overseeing project delivery, ensuring quality, and collaborating closely with stakeholders across TenneT. Your expertise in HSE practices, analytical thinking, and excellent communication skills will be invaluable in fostering a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire a team of technical experts in the Engineering & Services department
  • Oversee design reviews and quality assurance, ensuring improvements in the engineering phase and during construction
  • Manage team resources, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely delivery of projects
  • Collaborate with various departments, including Asset Management, System Operations, and Grid Field Operations, to minimize risks and optimize outcomes
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, geosciences, electrical) or a similar field
  • Solid professional experience in a relevant field, with a proven track record of success
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results and quality
