As a Global Fermentation Technology Leader, you will be an integral part of the Global Technology team, consisting of a specialized group of technology professionals who are spearheading individual equipment-focused technology platforms. Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders, you will actively engage in initiatives surrounding fermentation, with a particular emphasis on hygienic design, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Biotechnology sector. Your responsibilities will encompass optimizing current unit operations, enhancing energy and water efficiency, leading benchmarking across the network, and acting as a catalyst for scouting and implementing technological innovations, thereby significantly contributing to the growth and efficiency of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
Spearhead and advance technology development for all unit operations in fermentation technology, with a strong focus on cleaning effectiveness and hygienic design. Oversee technology scouting, including pilot assessments both within and outside our industry, to ensure dsm-firmenich consistently leverages the latest advancements. Provide comprehensive leadership across Operations to assess business viability. Drive global technology standardization of unit operations and best practices, collaborating closely with R&D technology & process development as well as Engineering & Capital Procurement. Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) for new line installations and actively engage in capital expenditure projects. Promote continuous improvement of processes and technologies in the plants, focusing on efficiency, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability. Lead the management of technology expertise across the organization and maintain relevant communities of practice.We Offer

A Master's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Food Engineering. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including technology scale-ups. Proven expertise in technology development, scale-up, and large-scale implementation. Experience in quality-by-design and R&D processes. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; strong leadership abilities with a talent for building relationships in cross-functional and remote settings.
