Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position outlined above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dr. Jacqueline YUEN, the Principal Investigator, in conducting clinical research initiatives centered on patient-physician communication and medical decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate participant recruitment and manage questionnaire distribution.
  • Oversee data gathering, organization, and analytical tasks.
  • Perform literature reviews and compile research reports.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Nursing, or similar areas, accompanied by at least 1 year of post-qualification research experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical software, including SPSS and/or R.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exhibited maturity, responsibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in qualitative research is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

This role is a temporary appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include annual leave, medical coverage, and free access to on-campus facilities.
