Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position outlined above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dr. Jacqueline YUEN, the Principal Investigator, in clinical research initiatives centered on patient-physician communication and medical decision-making processes.
  • Support subject recruitment efforts and facilitate questionnaire distribution.
  • Manage data collection, organization, and analytical tasks.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and prepare detailed reports.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned by the research team.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Nursing, or similar disciplines, accompanied by at least 1 year of post-qualification research experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as SPSS and/or R.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven maturity, accountability, strong work ethic, and the ability to excel both independently and collaboratively.
  • Experience in qualitative research methodologies is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is a temporary appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include annual leave, medical insurance, and complimentary access to campus facilities.
