Clinical Research Associate I/II in Geriatric Studies

Research Assistant I/II in the Division of Geriatric Medicine at the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role outlined above.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Dr. Jacqueline YUEN, the Principal Investigator, in clinical research initiatives centered on patient-physician interactions and healthcare decision-making processes.
  • Facilitate participant recruitment and manage questionnaire distribution.
  • Oversee data gathering, organization, and analysis.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and prepare detailed reports.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in areas such as Psychology, Public Health, Social Sciences, Nursing, or related fields, with at least 1 year of relevant research experience.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as SPSS and/or R.
  • Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven maturity, accountability, strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Experience in qualitative research is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits:

This position is a temporary appointment for 1 year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability. The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include annual leave, medical insurance, and free access to on-campus amenities.
