Job Overview
As a Computer Vision Analyst, you will evaluate the existing workflow for image acquisition, whether from physical documents or digital files, for various operational cases. Your role will involve exploring innovative methods to capture images from our operational facilities, which will later be utilized for further processing. This position offers the chance to travel to key distribution hubs to observe operations firsthand and contribute as a problem solver utilizing Generative AI and other AI/ML methodologies. Each operational case will necessitate a unique set of tools and algorithms. Which tools will you select, and what will guide your decision to exclude others? Your solutions must be adaptable, ensuring they can be effectively applied across diverse business processes and seamlessly integrated with existing systems. How will you achieve this? Consider combining traditional computer vision techniques with Large Language Models and Artificial Intelligence to validate images and documents, identify discrepancies, alert operations to address these issues, and implement predictive measures to mitigate potential problems before they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine the optimal methods for sourcing images for processing.
- Analyze available tools, libraries, and algorithms to identify the most effective solution.
- Design an interface for the proposed solutions to ensure integration and communication with other systems.
- Assess the accuracy and quality of the proposed solutions.
- Develop a working Proof-of-Concept for each business case.
- Collaborate with software engineers and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for solution enhancements, propose modifications, and implement changes.
Required Technical Skills:
- Expertise in computer vision tools and algorithms.
- Strong analytical skills for data collection, measurement, organization, and analysis.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL, Oracle, R, MATLAB, Java, and Python.
- Technical knowledge in database design, data modeling, data mining techniques, and segmentation.
- Experience in creating reports and dashboards using Power BI, Looker, and programming (JavaScript, XML, or ETL frameworks), as well as working with Google Cloud Platform.

Expectations:
- Ensure data privacy and confidentiality through a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

- Complete assignments with quality and efficiency in accordance with Agile project timelines.
- Transfer all deliverables (project documentation, software, and algorithms) to UPS as Intellectual Property, not to be utilized outside the internship program.
- Optionally present results to the Europe IT management team, UPS Mentor, and University coach at the conclusion of the internship.
