About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at Boskalis' Service Center in Capelle aan den IJssel. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our rolling stock, including trucks, cranes, pumps, generator sets, compressors, hydraulic sets, and grabs.

Key responsibilities include ensuring the proper functioning of our equipment, performing routine maintenance tasks, and troubleshooting technical issues. You will work closely with the Technical Department team to solve acute technical problems and contribute to the optimal deployment of our equipment.

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Mechanic who is willing to expand their knowledge and skills. A strong understanding of mechanical engineering and vehicle technology is essential, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Additional requirements include knowledge of applicable labor and safety regulations, as well as a willingness to take courses if necessary. If required, you may be asked to perform repairs at various locations within the Netherlands.

  • MBOLevel education and thinking, preferably in mechanical engineering or automotive technology, or comparable knowledge gained through work experience.
  • Basic knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle technology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of applicable labor and safety regulations.
  • Eagerness to learn and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Preparedness to perform repairs at various locations within the Netherlands.
