About the Role

Koni Group, part of ITT Inc., is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to join our Railway team. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the best technical solution for our customers and leading the implementation to Start of Production (SOP). You will support sales by providing cost-effective technical solutions to win target orders, act as the main technical interface with customers, collect customer needs and requirements, and participate in the development of new dedicated products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Input estimation of testing and homologation fees for project evaluation.
  • Involve in the production process review and provide technical support in prototype production.
  • Define the product development plan with the team.
  • Prepare and release customer drawings, production drawings, Fabrication Instruction (FI), Testing plan, and other related instructions.
  • Work with customers to obtain drawing and test plan approval.
  • Take care of project management, including milestones, team meetings, and smooth handover to production.
  • Organize the project kick-off meeting.
  • Involvement and guidance of technical specifications with customers.
  • Supply Koni differentiating value together with the sales team.
  • Drive the technical project progress from project start to BOM release based on project schedule.
  • Increase customer intimacy and understand and discuss the needs for new products with R&D.
  • Lead the technical part of the New Train Homologation process.
  • Inform and coordinate designated production plants in preparation for new product SOP.
  • Verify that all project deliverables (PPAP, Testing, drawing, FI) are in place before SOP.

Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer with a bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You should have knowledge of principles and design of Shock Absorbers (dampers), general mechanical/hydraulic design, 3D Solidworks, and good communication skills in English. You should also have good skills in building customer relationships, project management, and be willing to take challenges.
