About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior DevOps Engineer Data Platform to join our team at Royal Schiphol Group. As a key member of our Core Data Platform team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data lake and adhering to the latest technological and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and optimize our current data platform to ensure seamless data streams to our data consumers.
  • Design, implement, and test cloud-based (Azure) data-intensive applications.
  • Collaborate with Lead Engineers, Data Architects, and Enterprise Architects to develop technical solutions.
  • Provide technical support and leadership to team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics).
  • At least two years of professional development and/or data experience.
  • Knowledge of distributed data environments and experience with Confluent Kafka.
  • Proficiency in a current coding language (preferably Scala, Java, or Python).
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or another cloud provider.
  • Comfort with the latest DevOps technologies.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary range: € 4,400 - € 6,127 gross per month (scale 11).
  • 8.33% bonus at the end of the year.
  • Working from home allowance of €3.00 net per day.
  • NS-Business Card - all travel to and from work by public transport is paid for.
  • Possibility of leasing a bicycle (also electric bike).
