Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Public Affairs to join our team at Just Eat Takeaway. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing our global public affairs strategy, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, and driving business growth through effective public policy engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive public affairs strategy that aligns with our business objectives and enhances our reputation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and thought leaders.
  • Drive business growth through effective public policy engagement, including advocacy, lobbying, and issue management.
  • Lead and manage a team of public affairs professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful delivery of public affairs objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in public policy and regulatory issues affecting our business, and provide expert advice to our leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field, such as public policy, politics, or communications.
  • 15+ years of experience in public affairs, policy, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and executing public affairs strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of the technology sector, internet technologies, and the policy environments that surround them.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of public affairs professionals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
