About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Marketing Science to lead our Marketing Science and Analytics team at Booking. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a compelling vision, strategy, and roadmap for the innovative use of data, insights, and analytics across Marketing Science.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transformative Leadership: Develop and implement a data-driven strategy to drive business growth and improve marketing performance.
  • Evidence-Based Decision Making: Champion and standardize the use of data and analytics to support high-quality decision-making throughout Marketing and the broader business.
  • Innovative Experimentation: Create and define a pioneering testing and experimentation framework to optimize the efficiency of our marketing channels.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor senior Data Science and Analytics leaders, while recruiting and nurturing premier talent.
  • Global Collaboration: Build and maintain strong connections with global data and analytics functions, ensuring seamless collaboration across business units.
  • Influencing & Collaborating: Collaborate across departments, acting as a trusted advisor who simplifies complex problems for the Leadership Team.
  • Community Leadership: Serve as a reference point for the Data Science & Analytics community, providing essential support to help team members excel and grow in their craft.
  • Drive Innovation: Continuously seek innovative ways to leverage data and analytics to enhance business performance, always focused on meeting company and departmental objectives.
  • Strategic Experimentation: Design large-scale online and offline experiments that span multiple business areas, driving strategic insights and growth.
  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Understand business needs and proactively inspire change, removing impediments to progress and innovation, and collaborating with other functions to find practical solutions.

Requirements:

  • Significant years of experience in building out measurement protocols across marketing, with a focus on data science and analytics.
  • Extensive experience in online media platforms, with a focus on modern measurement solutions.
  • Experience in market research and product research methods, with the ability to influence marketing strategy and planning.
  • Ability to drive performance across business units and areas, with a strong background in digital experimentation and statistical components.
  • Global and large market experience, with a focus on US, UK, DE, and LATAM and APAC markets.
  • Highly experienced in agency and external partner management, with the ability to represent the company externally.
  • Strong knowledge of the current digital, programmatic, social, and ad-tech environments.
  • Ability to drive innovation and set clear strategic agendas for teams and stakeholders.
  • Solution-oriented, data-driven, and result-focused, with a strong work ethic and self-directed approach.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate in large groups and be credible and trusted by senior audiences.
