About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Director to lead our product management and biomedical science teams. As the CEO of our products, you will be responsible for developing a strong vision on the market and realizing the full potential of our product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Product Management team in creating, maintaining, and executing the product roadmap.
  • Define value propositions and ensure customer requirements are translated into new products, product features, and consumables.
  • Oversee product portfolio management, responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing the applications roadmap for all products.
  • Develop pricing strategies and positioning for new products and features.
  • Contribute to the company strategy as a part of the Management Team.
  • Lead the Biomedical Science team in validating and substantiating the technical product market fits.
  • Responsible for product life cycle management, including product versions, configurations, compatibility, product lifetime, end of sales/maintenance.
  • Collect relevant market insights and analyze market trends.
  • Set up and manage collaborations/co-developments with third parties to strengthen business opportunities and product/application development.
  • Own the product validation and commercial release process.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience as a (lead) Product Manager for a life science instrumentation company, preferably at or in close collaboration with the company Head Quarters.
  • A track record of bringing new products to new customers in the life science market.
  • Quick understanding of market developments and customer requirements, ensuring they translate into a product roadmap and go-to-market strategy.
  • MSc or PhD in biology, engineering, or physics.
  • Experience in a scaleup environment.
  • Understanding of 3D in vitro models and mechanobiology.
  • Understanding of drug development and regenerative medicine processes.
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills.
  • Able to operate cross-functionally with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Generalist approach, driven to take on tasks beyond the standard scope of responsibilities.
  • Entrepreneurial, commercial, and result-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Netherlands home-based.
