Job Summary

The Critical Operations Technician is a key member of our data center team, responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of IT, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of building systems and the ability to analyze operations to determine the cause of problems and malfunctions.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge and skills to perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Lead and maintain records of equipment readings and adjustments to ensure proper operation.
  • Provide remote hands and eyes services for customers.
  • Install and repair IT, mechanical, and electrical equipment as required.
  • Process work orders for preventative and corrective maintenance on critical, building, and site infrastructure.
  • Create and update tickets within the established ticketing system to address customer calls and data center facility alerts.
  • Operate and monitor critical and non-critical system equipment and components to ensure safe and compliant operation.
  • Respond to building emergencies and customer requests.

Requirements

  • Two or more years of technical training, military training, or workplace equivalency.
  • Background in areas of IT, electrical, and/or mechanical.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
