About this position
TNO is seeking a highly motivated and curious individual to join our team as an Electrofuels Intern. In this role, you will be working on the development of novel catalysts for the electrochemical reduction of CO2 to produce valuable compounds such as ethylene.
What will be your role?
As an Electrofuels Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Performing literature reviews and gaining a deep understanding of materials science and electrocatalysis
- Developing and synthesizing nanostructured catalysts using electrodeposition techniques
- Investigating the electrochemical reduction of CO2 and optimizing reaction conditions
- Analyzing experimental data and presenting findings to the team
- Participating in active discussions with colleagues and contributing to the development of new ideas
What we expect from you
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in materials science, chemistry, or a related field. You should have a high level of motivation, a curious nature, and a taste for problem-solving. Additionally, you should be able to work autonomously within a small team and have good social skills to get the information you need from colleagues.
