We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager to join our KPMG-Netherlands team as a Business and Human Rights Expert. In this role, you will be responsible for advising our clients on how to identify, understand, and address their human rights in the context of the OECD Guidelines, UNGPs, current and upcoming regulation on value chain due diligence, and help them improve their overall social impact.
Your Key Responsibilities- Work directly with clients to develop and implement practical responses to create sustainable positive change.
- Contribute to projects as a subject matter expert, focusing on Minimum Social Safeguards in the context of EU-taxonomy, DE&I, ESRS S1-4, social impact of renewable energy projects or the use of critical raw materials.
- Educate and coach KPMG colleagues on human rights and sustainability, helping them articulate the implications of human rights to their clients.
- Connect with industry actors and stakeholders to build market relations and serve customers.
- Play a pivotal role in our market presence and thought leadership in the field of business and human rights.
- Significant knowledge of and 10+ years of experience in the field of business and human rights.
- Strong preference for prior working experience in both consultancy and in-house roles (Corporate Sector or Financial Sector).
- Experience in implementing relevant tools and methodologies, such as stakeholder consultations, social research, social audits, human rights and environmental risk assessments, human rights impact assessments.
- Strong communication skills, including report writing and presenting in English and (preferably) Dutch.
- Experience managing global projects.
- Ability to think from multiple stakeholder perspectives.
