Position Overview

BALENCIAGA Retail Operations Manager

We are in search of a Retail Operations Manager who will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to oversee our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

Business Growth:

  • Execute strategic initiatives established with headquarters and the store management team, ensuring thorough follow-up.
  • Regularly assess business performance through corporate analytics.
  • Set specific quantitative and qualitative objectives for the department teams.
  • Provide insightful feedback and reporting to the Associate Store Director/Store Director or store team.
  • Cultivate relationships with Inventory and Buying stakeholders, proactively addressing their needs.
  • Stay informed about the competitive landscape in the local market.
  • Keep the store team updated on overall store performance.

Leadership and Team Development:

  • Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with Balenciaga's values.
  • Collaborate with Recruitment and HR partners to attract, hire, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Inspire and challenge the team to achieve business objectives and enhance job satisfaction.
  • Assist the Store Director in building a motivated and skilled team that stays current with trends in fashion and luxury.

Brand Advocacy:

  • Act as a Balenciaga Ambassador, promoting the brand's culture both internally and externally.
  • Ensure the Balenciaga Signature and Client experience are consistently delivered.
  • Manage the recruitment, development, and retention of clients across all segments.

Operational Excellence:

  • Guarantee compliance with legal, safety, security, and internal standards, including sustainability and HR guidelines.
  • Plan team schedules on a weekly and monthly basis, communicating effectively with the Assistant Store Manager/Director and Store Manager/Director.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance existing processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.

Performance Metrics

  • Business: sales density, conversion rate, units per transaction, cross-selling rate, transaction volume.
  • Team: sales productivity, training completion rates, employee turnover, absence levels.
  • Client: local retention rates, customer engagement scores, recruitment rates, regained clients, and overall retention metrics.
  • Process: customer relationship management, omnichannel strategies, back-office operations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong awareness of product trends and market dynamics, coupled with cultural sensitivity.
  • Proven track record in management roles.
  • Extensive experience in the luxury sector with a robust client portfolio and a client-centric approach.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities with a knack for prioritizing multiple tasks.
  • High attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Proficient digital skills.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch.
