We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Engineer to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific, the world leader in serving science. With annual revenue of approximately $40 billion, we enable our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer.

The Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) is responsible for designing, manufacturing, and supporting high-performance microscopy and spectroscopy workflows on wafers and single chips. We combine hardware and software expertise with deep application knowledge in materials science, life sciences, electronics, and natural resources markets.

In this role, you will work with our passionate and hardworking team in Eindhoven to support the manufacturing of Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM). You will ensure that all vibration analysis and control activities adhere to industry standards and regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to production teams to ensure timely shipment of high-quality systems to customers
  • Support factory and field service engineers with first builds, installs, and upgrades of newly introduced systems and modules
  • Solve complex problems and ensure system specifications are met
  • Apply advanced tools and techniques to diagnose vibration-related issues on TEM systems
  • Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to integrate vibration control solutions into product design
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users and collaborators on vibration analysis techniques
  • Develop and maintain work instructions and define way of working (factory process flow)
  • Perform hands-on assembly, testing, troubleshooting as required
  • Implement engineering changes to improve quality, manufacturability, costs of components/modules

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or a combination of engineering education and meaningful work experience
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in similar functions, preferably in tooling/test environment
  • Proficiency in using vibration analysis tools and software
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Excellent English language skills and proficiency in Dutch
