Structural Engineer for Marine Operations

Are you a skilled engineer looking to develop your expertise in marine operations? Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam is seeking a structural engineer to join our team and take on the challenge of leading future projects.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer who has a solid background in marine operations and can predict the behavior and conditions during operations. You will be responsible for the whole concept, design, and engineering of the project, working closely with our clients and engineering team to ensure planning and budget stay under control.

The role of structural engineer is fully focused on engineering and technical related issues, while the position of lead engineer will be a mix of engineering and project management. As a lead engineer, you will be responsible for guiding your team, visiting clients, and ensuring planning and budget stay under control.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for concepts, designs, and engineering of structural operational projects
  • Make calculations and CAD models with software like Ansys, Solid Edge, and Autocad
  • Give input for project engineers for estimation and planning
  • Willing to travel and go on site to guide marine operations of our clients

Requirements include:

  • A BSc. or MSc. in Marine-, Offshore Engineering, Naval Architecture, or comparable
  • About 5 years' experience in marine operations projects for different types of vessels
  • Experience with software like Ansys, Solid Edge, and Autocad
  • Good communication in English and Dutch (verbally and writing)
  • Willing to develop to a role as Lead engineer
