Developing Statistical Theories for Biological Neural Networks

Job DescriptionThis project seeks to bridge the gap between deep learning and brain functioning by exploring the underlying network structures and learning processes. The successful candidate will contribute to developing novel statistical theories that may provide insights into how the brain learns and improve AI efficiency with less data.
Your Profile- You are an enthusiastic and highly motivated researcher with a Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- You possess a creative mindset, excellent analytical and communication skills, and a good team spirit.
- You are fluent in English and able to work in an interdisciplinary environment.
As a PhD candidate at UT, you will be appointed to a full-time position for four years with a qualifier in the first year. You will receive a gross monthly salary ranging from € 2,770,- (first year) to € 3,539,- (fourth year), including benefits such as a holiday allowance, end-of-year bonus, and solid pension scheme.
