We're looking for a skilled Bartender to join our team at Moxy & Residence Inn Houthavens Amsterdam, part of Marriott Hotels & Resorts. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner
  2. Provide recommendations and upsell beverages to enhance the guest experience
  3. Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly and professionally
  4. Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes
  5. Mix ingredients to create classic and innovative cocktails
  6. Ensure consistency and quality in every drink served
  7. Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar, following all HACCP procedures when handling food and beverages
  8. Conduct regular inventory checks and inform management of low stock items
  9. Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions
  10. Maintain a balanced cash register and report any discrepancies to management
  11. Work collaboratively with other bar staff, and management to ensure efficient service
  12. Assist in training new staff members as needed
  13. Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving service and sales
  14. Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions
  15. Collaborate with the front office team to ensure a seamless guest experience throughout their stay

Requirements:

  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cocktail preparation and beverage trends
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills (fluent in English and preferably Dutch)
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Exhibit vibrant energy and a fearless, hands-on attitude
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed

Estimated salary: €35,000 - €45,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
