Finance Business Partner

Maasvlakte II is a state-of-the-art container terminal that has been in operation since 2015. It is equipped with the latest technology, including two Super Quay Cranes, and has implemented various efficiency improvements to increase its volume capacity by over 20%. The terminal is also a pioneer in the use of green energy and fully electrified equipment, making it the world's first zero-emission terminal for CO2, NOx, and particulate emissions. With a strong focus on safety, the terminal has fully fenced-off automated areas, separating men and machines, and is considered one of the safest in the world.
About the Job PositionAs a Finance Business Partner, you will play a critical role in supporting and challenging department managers to improve the quality of the budget-control-cycle and management reporting. Your responsibilities will include driving periodic management and financial reporting, improving information flow between finance and department managers, and gathering and consolidating forecasting data. You will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to financial reporting and problem-solving, as well as supporting managers with quality replacement capex business cases.
Key Responsibilities:- Business Partnering: Support and challenge department managers to improve the quality of the budget-control-cycle and management reporting.
- Reporting: Support periodic management and financial reporting, and improve information flow between finance and department managers.
- Forecasting: Gather and consolidate forecasting data from different internal and external sources, analyze and interpret the outcome, and provide input for challenge sessions.
- Drive cross-functional performance management by conducting periodic PnL reviews and process confirmations.
- Bachelor's Degree/Master's in Finance or equivalent required.
- At least 2-5 years of relevant experience in FP&A and Finance Business Partnering.
- Strong communication skills, including verbal, non-verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as active listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with others outside of reporting authority to achieve shared goals.
- Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.
