Supply Chain Engineering Director

DP World is seeking a seasoned supply chain expert to lead our operations in Europe. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and efficiency across our supply chain, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry.

The role requires expertise in leading cross-functional teams, conducting analysis, providing recommendations, and guidance towards the delivery of strategic multiple large-scale supply chain solutions projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and design solutions to optimize their supply chains.

The Senior Manager will manage and balance the requirements between business objectives and project requirements. They will recognize trends, patterns, or themes in complex data and leverage their experience to solve complex problems. Understanding the importance of project governance, stakeholder management, commercial models, and managing project teams is crucial for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Grow DP World clients and revenue by delivering exceptional supply chain solutions.
  • Oversee the quality of analysis and solution team's outputs to ensure high standards of accuracy, quality, and service delivery.
  • Design test methodologies and success criteria for value-chain improvement solutions across multiple capabilities and regions.
  • Facilitate cross-functional business improvement and solutions development workshops to drive innovation and efficiency.
  • Obtain and document client requirements to enable the design of integrated fit-for-purpose business solutions that improve client's value chain.
  • Support the management of prospective client pipeline by evaluating and qualifying solution leads.
  • Manage project team performance to deliver successful projects that meet and exceed client expectations.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Transport/Logistics.
  • 8-12 years' relevant work experience in operations and/or solution design roles.
  • Proven track record of leadership and managing project teams, inspiring, motivating, and directing individuals to take ownership of and achieve desired outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate goals and purpose, ensuring alignment of team members towards a desired objective.
  • Ability to manage performance and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Proven track record of delivering successful projects and meeting high standards of accuracy, quality, and service delivery.

Salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits package including health insurance, pension scheme, and annual leave.
