Overview
Destinus, an innovative aerospace technology company, is seeking an experienced Turbomachinery Engineer to join its R&D team. This critical position involves the design and development of next-generation turbomachinery solutions. As a key contributor to the company's mission to drive the world's energy transition and reduce emissions, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies that combine turbojet and ramjet technologies for future hydrogen-powered hypersonic vehicles.
About the Role
- Design and develop gas turbine components and assemblies using mechanical design principles and FEA simulations.
- Collaborate with the supply chain to set up and qualify suppliers and manufacturing processes.
- Participate in technical investigations and lead development projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support to Supply chain, Operations, and Field Service teams.
Requirements
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Working knowledge in mechanical design of gas turbine components.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent software.
- Experience with FEA and high-temperature materials is an advantage.
