Sustainability Expert for Global Treasury

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Sustainability Expert for Global Treasury to drive the implementation of our Sustainability Strategy within Group Treasury's (GT) core activities.

As a key member of the GT Sustainability Management Department, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including investors and ESG rating agencies, to advance our sustainability initiatives.

You will be responsible for applying ING's Sustainability Strategy into practice, ensuring that sustainable targets and regulations are met by our department.

Based in Amsterdam, you will report directly to the Global Head of GT Sustainability Management and join a dedicated team of experts within the GT Sustainability Management Department.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a strategic partner for the GT Sustainability Management Department
  • Facilitate a structured dialogue and knowledge exchange with the GT Sustainability Squad
  • Monitor market and regulatory developments in Sustainable Finance, proactively using the knowledge to enhance our sustainability frameworks and policies
  • Initiate and support new sustainable funding initiatives
  • Develop and refine data exchange processes for Sustainable Funding Allocation and Impact Reports
  • Provide best practice guidance on project management processes

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in finance, Risk or Sustainability related studies
  • Proven experience in (sustainable) finance, treasury, ESG regulations or a related field
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory ESG disclosure requirements and compliance
  • Fluency in English (in written and verbal)
