Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Room Attendant to join our team at the renowned Hotel Okura Amsterdam. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our rooms are meticulously cleaned and prepared for each guest.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and has a passion for hospitality. You will work closely with a team of 40 professionals in a fast-paced English-speaking environment, where quality and attention to detail are paramount.

You will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, and maintaining rooms to the highest standards, providing an exceptional experience for our guests. We use iPods to manage daily tasks efficiently, making your job easier and more streamlined. No prior knowledge of Dutch is required for this role.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Is flexible and able to work various shifts and days (from 9am-17pm)
  • Can work every weekend
  • Speaks fluent English (Dutch is not required)
  • Is reliable, responsible, and punctual
  • Presents themselves professionally and has good presence

Cleaning experience is advantageous but not necessary.

Benefits and Perks

We offer a competitive gross hourly wage starting from €14.15, depending on your work experience. This includes:

  • Gross hourly wage starting from €14.15, depending on your work experience
  • Salary paid every 4 weeks, totaling 13 payments per year
  • 8% holiday allowance, paid in May
  • 10.5% accrual of vacation hours and a 5% year-end bonus
  • 26 vacation days for a full-time position and an extra day off on your birthday
  • 8-month employment contract with a 1-month probation period and the possibility of a permanent contract
  • Opportunity to obtain your SVS diploma (basic cleaning training)
  • Training and development opportunities to grow into roles such as Supervisor/Lead Cleaner
