Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join our Graduate Program in EMEA. As a Commercial Graduate Trainee, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in a dynamic and global organization.

What will you be doing?

As a Commercial Graduate, you will be part of our 12-month program, which includes a combination of in-person, virtual, and on-the-job training. You will take on a focused role to develop your expertise in a specific area and make a meaningful contribution to our local team.

Key Objectives:

After completing the cross-European training program, your key objective will be to grow into the role of Account Manager in the water treatment industry in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for retaining and growing our business with key accounts and prospects, and realizing sustainable long-term profitable growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with integrity and safety as required by Veolia policies.
  • Develop and drive strategic relationships at key accounts at all levels in the water treatment industry.
  • Achieve business targets and objectives through customer retention and delivering value to our valued customers.
  • Provide accurate updates to our business and drive our delivery commitment to our customers.
  • Carry out technical services and provide recommendations to ensure trouble-free plant operations for assigned customers.
  • Measure success on delivering customer retention, customer satisfaction surveys, and support to the commercial team in developing a target pipeline.
  • Actively participate in service/sales team meetings and training sessions.
  • Report all work-related incidents, high-risk situations, near misses, accidents, and damage to property.

Qualifications:

Minimum requirements:

  • A or higher degree in Engineering or Applied Science with a Chemical background.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both verbal and written.
  • High competence with Microsoft Windows and/or Google Workspace tools.
  • Driver's license B.

Useful Skills or Abilities:

  • Showing a high interest in commercial or key account management.
  • Excellent presentation and accurate reporting skills.
  • Strong flexibility and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Industry knowledge would be an advantage.
