Business Development Manager

Canon is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to drive new business and volume growth for our Wide Format Print Media division in EMEA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing sales-focused instruments to grow the business locally via new customers and increasing volumes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement new business opportunities for Wide Format Media, aligning with joint HQ and Country strategic plans.
- Optimize opportunities to expand in new business segments, increase the portfolio of products for existing customers, and ultimately increase their current spend.
- Provide structural market feedback and maintain relationships with key customers and strategic partners to identify needs and opportunities in an early stage.
- Influence and improve business development programs and product development based on market intelligence.
- Collaborate with Management tiers, Business Development, Sales, and Product Marketing across Canon and in a European context.
- Proven track record in sales & business development, strategic thinking, driving business growth, and developing markets.
- Strong people relationship management skills, with a particular emphasis on persuasion, building trust, understanding and focusing on customer needs, coaching peers, and non-direct reports.
- Ability to build relationships, drive performance, and enhance sales.
- Analytic skills to define a business strategy framework (Diagnostics / Solution Design / Implementation / Embedding).
- Ability to conceptualize and clearly communicate a value proposition (sales pitch).
- Pro-active planning, creative thinking, and organizational skills with the ability to plan and coordinate initiatives and manage tight and conflicting priorities.
- Fluent in English; Dutch and/or other European languages are a plus.
- Frequent travel in EMEA is required for this role, approximately 20%.
