We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team in Oudewater. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in managing and improving financial performance and direct accounting operations of our organization.

Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will have 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience, with proven working experience as a (Financial) Controller. You will be responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable/Payable (A/R, A/P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition across 3 legal entities.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of monthly financial results in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Lead the preparation, review, and publishing of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Implement and maintain robust quality control over financial transactions and reporting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop, document, and continuously improve business processes to enhance internal controls and compliance.
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders on all bank-related matters.
- Coordinate and facilitate external audits, ensuring timely submission of deliverables to audit teams.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of relevant statistical reports (e.g., CBS).
- Perform additional controller duties as needed, providing financial insights and support to the organization.
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Proven working experience as a (Financial) Controller
- Results-oriented with strong planning and organizational skills
- Decisive and able to effectively analyze problems
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive approach and capable of managing multiple tasks
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Good knowledge of English and Dutch
In this challenging and rewarding role, you can expect an estimated annual salary of €60,000 - €80,000 depending on experience, plus a range of benefits that reflect our commitment to your career and personal growth.
